An entire play of 1.5 hours and that's what sticks. The last words. Quite literally for the characters, most likely.
It's not like you didn't see it coming. It's more like knowing that this is not how it should be. That there is something fundamentally wrong when a story takes such a turn.

And I finished Guitar Hero 2 on medium today.
In other news I am on vacation and have been to some of the most epic parties lately.
Things could almost be well, but there's always an itch you can't scratch. That's when you start yelling at the wrong people for all the wrong reasons.
Should lay my tarot cards and meditate. Will instead sleep soon though. |

So today, the US is having something called a Super Tuesday. Contrary to popular belief, it's not called that way because of the election thingies going on.
Super Tuesday is in fact -if memory serves me right, anyway- the international holiday that's Ryuu's birthday.

I bought Guitar Hero II today. And I didn't play it yet. Need to do other stuff first.
A few political notes.
-1. Is throwing away food a bad thing? Are people starving in the third world? Is the greenhouse effect happening? If you answered all these with yes... stop with your NIMBY bullshit. Genetic engineering needs to be researched and done. Should things be sold to people without undergoing thorough tests? No. But people will have to realize that breeding is genetic engineering too and also had its share of mishaps. Doesn't change the fact that we will need this technology if we still want to have food in 30 years so research has to start now.
-2. Juvenile criminals. Are they a problem? Fuck yeah. But raising the maximum penalties won't change a thing if our judges won't even apply their full power now. Not like one of these youths will consider whether what he's about to do nets him 10 or 15 years. He'll think about whether he's gonna get caught. You need more police watching the street and don't rely on scare-them-straight-tactics. You want to really stop the problem, grab it by the root. These guys need perspective. Education. Some degree they can get a job with. The lowest branch of our school system does not provide this degree anymore and most of these guys are there. There's been too much saving on both police and education and now stupid conservatives are campaigning with grand ideas like throwing criminal immigrants out of the country like this would solve anything.
-3. There's no half moon gonna rise over our town just because a mosque will be built. You're not providing for integration if you allow one part of your population to live out their religion and forbid it to another. The double-standards here are sickening anyway. Nobody would open his mouth if it was a synagogue. And scientology's dianetics fools aren't kept from spreading pamphlets downtown either. You want to see if there's extremists brewing something up in that place? Go there. Keep an eye on them. Just because it's a mosque doesn't mean it's lawless space. It's still Germany and all rules apply. Still these things need to be build for equality's sake. |

Yeah. So it's 2008. That's the future. Where the hell is my jet-pack?
Resolution is mainly to stay in contact with distant people more. Like writing text messages and emails more.
Concert in Salzburg was amazing. The following LAN party was excellent. And Salzburg was amazing. Nightwish was amazing. Van Canto was amazing. It was even amazing how little food and sleep a man needs. Nightwish was amazing too. Love the new singer.
Things are all in all going pretty well as you may have guessed as I normally only write her when things are messy. Talked a lot off my chest in good company yesterday, when I was somewhat drunk. Maybe I'll get around and write some philosophical insights down again here somewhen.

First: Wow. Had nearly forgotten about the weight of a REAL sword. Still glad I got my hands on one just after watching the Dungeon Siege movie. Remarkably, it wasn't TOO bad. Boll is an awful director and Dungeon Siege is an awful game. Making an average movie from this is an effort. Except for some weird things like acrobatic Elves, regal ninjas and a 'simply fabulous' villain, it's a solid piece of hack and slay fantasy.

Second: Strange, you'd think finding out somebody is not at all (anymore) who you thought them to be would help changing your view on them. Well if it did, the change was minutely. Not sure what to make of this all yet.

Third: My thoughts go out to Ryuu, who, in a case of massive fail and faggotry, is currently in a less than marvellous situation. Smitings should commence should this state last longer than I deem acceptable. Hiroshima will look like a fucking sandbox compared to what I'll go do there should she get hurt or harmed. And if this means the end of Eastern video games. Fear me. Fear my righteous wrath. Grrr. |

Fuel almost drowned the spark this time, but now we have a flame. The fact there's stuff I can't manage or bring myself to do (yet) doesn't mean I can give up my position that easily.
I walked yesterday's talk and got the paperwork out of the way. So, should I meet my unlikely fate, I have now given permission to my corpse being gutted and my insides being passed on to people who have more use for it.
Will look into blood donation too, maybe. As soon as I manage to overcome my dislike for needles.
